"Go paper. Grow trees." Elementary Lesson Plan

Originally targeted to consumers from 8th grade upward, "Go paper. Grow trees." is an awareness campaign created for International Paper to publish the facts on how using paper products makes a direct contribution to the health of trees and forests. With a new and younger generation being raised in a world of Kindles and other e-readers, IP desired an even more simplistic version of the campaign, this one targeted to elementary aged children in grades 3 through 5. The idea is to rally those who have not yet formed their life habits, and to draw a straight line connecting paper use and the future well-being of forests, to counter the erroneous idea that by not using paper, trees will be saved.

The elementary lesson plan for "Go paper. Grow trees." includes student activities such as a coloring page, word search game, crossword puzzle, "fun facts" page and an abridged version of the original GPGT video; as well as a teacher/facilitator's guide and in-depth facilitator training.
