ArborGen Brand Development
A forest biotech company with nurseries throughout Texas and the Southeastern United States, as well as New Zealand and Australia, ArborGen is a world leader in the research, development and commercialization of technologies that provide purpose-grown trees for the forest products industry. The product is improved tree performance through biotechnology. The product package is the SuperTree Seedling. The communications challenge: conveying the brand in a consistent and cohesive manner that supports the story of dual expertise in both science and horticulture. Working with two existing brands, we merged the ArborGen and SuperTree Seedlings entities into one by developing important but nearly imperceptible changes to both logos, creating a system for presenting the two both separately and together, and publishing guidelines for its usage throughout the enterprise.
